Riverdale Optimists Softball Tourney
On July 7, 2009, eight Juvenile Court affiliated softball teams will gather at Arthur O. Fisher Park at 9:00 AM to participate in a Round Robin Tournament, with the first two teams in each of the 2 four-team bracket advancing to the Championship Semifinal. Team trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Each team will also be presenting a trophy to the most positive youth contributor on the team. Each team may have up to 3 adult staff playing for the team.
The Riverdale Optimists sponsor the event, paying for the trophies, ribbons, balls, and supplies. Not only do they pay for the lunch, they serve super efficiently, and nobody leaves hungry!
